JURYCOMMISSION
Purpose: Responsible for preparation of jury list using the
voter registration records of the county or other sources as allowed by law;
works with the clerk of superior court
Authority: - NCGS 9-1 and 9-2
Membership: 3 members: 1 appointed by Board of Commissioners, 1 member
appointed by the resident superior court judge and 1 member appointed by the
clerk of superior court. Appointees must
be qualified voters of the county.
Members serve a 2-year term, no term limit. The term expires in June. Compensation shall be fixed by the BOC.
