	Transylvania County

The Transylvania County Board of Commissioners believes that all citizens should have the opportunity to participate in governmental decisions. One way of participating is by serving as a citizen member on one or more of the county’s advisory boards, listed below. Transylvania County has an active volunteer community serving on over 40 county boards and committees.

Transylvania County is looking for applications from interested citizens to serve on its many boards and committees. If you are interested, please submit an application.

Transylvania County has a current need for applications for the following committees: Council on Aging, Brevard Board of Adjustment & Appeal, Brevard Planning & Zoning Board, Dangerous Dog Review Board (veterinarian), Joint Historic Preservation Commission, Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (business community, faith community, substance abuse professional, and person under 21), and Nursing/Adult Care Home Advisory Board.
