Mary Ann Hollocker has been selected to succeed County Attorney Misti Bass who has served as the County and Department of Social Services Attorney since early 2017.

Ms. Hollocker has worked in many areas of law including working as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney in Hilo, Hawaii for 12 years and as a Magistrate in Henderson County. Ms. Hollocker received her BS in Legal Administration from Loyola University and her Law degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco California. Currently Hollocker is an Assistant Professor at Brevard College where she will finish her school year commitment while transitioning to Transylvania County in January and will be available for the full role in mid-May.

She brings a wealth of experience from different levels of our legal system to Transylvania County. I look forward to working with her."
