Mountain Area Workforce Development Board recently completed a project entitled “Mountain Area Careers” (MAC) which highlights career pathways available in our region’s Advanced Manufacturing and Hospitality & Tourism sectors. These career pathways were developed with the leadership of many employers, educators and workforce partners in our region and have been certified by the NCWorks Commission as “NCWorks Certified Career Pathways.” It is our intention to ultimately include in MAC all five target sectors of the Board which would also include the Healthcare, Skilled Trades, and Tech/IT sectors.
