Do you have forested land? Interested in making some extra revenue off of it? Ginseng is a fun native plant that has a long and rich history in the Appalachian mountains.

Dr. Jeanine Davis will give a presentation on history, planting and pest management and then your local Extension staff will do a hands on demonstration of how to prepare your soil and plant your seed.

Each participant will receive 4 ounces of high quality stratified seed ready to plant. Cost of the workshop is $40 to cover the cost of seed.

Please RSVP by calling Transylvania County Cooperative Extension at 828-884-3109 or email
