Transylvania County is located in beautiful Western North Carolina. The county seat is Brevard, NC. The Courthouse, located in the heart of Brevard, is on the National Register of Historic Places.
  Transylvania County is called the “Land of Waterfalls” due to the 250 waterfalls located throughout the county. Whitewater Falls is the highest waterfall in the Eastern United States. Framed by the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, outdoor activities such as hiking, whitewater rafting, hunting, and fishing make Transylvania County the perfect place to call "home".
