A majority of the Transylvania County Board of Commissioners will participate in the Essentials of County Government course being offered through a partnership between the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Government and North Carolina Association of County Commissioners on Friday, December 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Transylvania County Administration Building, located at 101 S. Broad St., Brevard, NC. This course will introduce newly elected commissioners to the basic functions of county government and the role of the governing board.
The Board of Commissioners will not discuss or deliberate on any Transylvania County business or take any action. This notice is being made in accordance with North Carolina Open Meetings Law.
