Transylvania County, in partnership with the Town of Rosman, and hosted by Gaia Herbs, is having a groundbreaking for the water and sewer line on US 64 at 10 am on July 15 at Gaia Herbs, 101 Gaia Herbs Rd, Brevard. This project will help support Gaia Herb’s Headquarters expansion in Transylvania County and will be a key infrastructure asset for the Town of Rosman and the County to support future development.
This project would not be possible without the generous support of the Federal Government and the State of North Carolina, including funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), an Industrial Commission grant from the Department of Commerce and an Appalachian Regional Commission grant. This project will extend water and sewer from Island Ford Road along US 64 to the Town of Rosman. Transylvania County will build the project utilizing grant funds and then turn the asset over to the Town of Rosman as part of their existing water and sewer service.
