Nathanael Carver has joined Transylvania County as the Information Technology Director.

Carver, a native of Transylvania County, attended Rosman High School and studied at AB Technical College and North Greenville University.  His has a combined total of over 18 years of technology experience.  Most recently, Nathanael was the Infrastructure and Support Manager for Automated Results Computer Consulting, LLC and his prior experience includes Client Logic/Bell South Internet Services, Laboratory Corporation of America and Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office.    

Jaime Laughter, County Manager said, “Nathanael brings the right mix of experience, vision and the desire to serve Transylvania County that will be a huge asset for our IT department.  He is the right leader to build on the long-time work of our retiring Director, Dean Landreth and to keep leading our technology advancement into the future.  We are fortunate to have him back as a county employee and we know he will be vested in the best interests of our citizens.”

Carver said, “I am extremely eager to join the Information Technology Department of Transylvania County.  My passion for computers and networks started when I was a student at Rosman High School, so it is a dream to give back to the community that has given so much to me over the past years. I am excited to join a staff of excellent IT professionals and work with all county departments.  I look forward to working with this outstanding department to use a world of ever-changing technology to improve and enable county leaders and employees to better serve our citizens.”

Nathanael will replace retiring director Dean Landreth and will begin his role as IT Director on April 25th.  He and his wife Lenora live in Brevard and enjoy their time with friends and family including their two dogs Tinker and Dart.
