NOTICE TO PUBLIC Notice is hereby given that the Transylvania County Board of Commissioners intends to donate laundry carts to Brevard and Rosman High Schools and a jail sink and toilet combo and bench to Blue Ridge Community College. The County Manager has declared these items as surplus and removed them from service.
North Carolina General Statute § 160A-280 allows a county to donate surplus personal property to another governmental unit or nonprofit organization incorporated in the United States. Prior to the donation, Transylvania County must post public notice of its intent to donate the property. The donation will be approved through the adoption of a resolution during the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners on February 13, 2023.
