Notice is hereby given that the Joint School Bond Project Committee will meet on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the Brevard High School “Old Gym” Reopening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, held at 609 N. Country Club Road, Brevard. In accordance with North Carolina Open Meetings Law, the meeting is open to the public.
An interlocal governmental agreement between the Transylvania County Board of Commissioners and the Transylvania County Board of Education formed the joint committee, consisting of two members from both Boards, the County Manager, and the School System Superintendent. The joint committee has been charged with duties to guide the bond funded school improvement projects from the bond sale in October 2024.
On December 9th, the Committee will participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony, tour the completed BHS Scope #1 at the Brevard High School “Old Gym,” and be provided with a written Project Update Report.
