NOTICE TO PUBLIC:

PRESENTATION OF FY 2027 RECOMMENDED BUDGET FOR TRANSYLVANIA COUNTY 

BUDGET WORKSHOP AND PUBLIC HEARING DATES

The Transylvania County Manager formally presented the FY 2027 Recommended Budget to the Transylvania County Board of Commissioners during a regular meeting on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, and it is available for public inspection. A copy of the FY 2027 Recommended Budget is available in the office of the Clerk to the Board, County Administration Building, 101 S. Broad St., Brevard, weekdays 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.  A copy has also been placed at the Transylvania County Library and posted online at https://www.transylvaniacounty.org/fy27-budget.

The Board of Commissioners will hold a budget workshop on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.to further deliberate on the budget. If needed, the Board of Commissioners will hold an additional budget workshop on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. Additionally, the Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the FY 2027 Budget proposal during a regular meeting on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. The meetings will be held in the Multipurpose Chambers at the County Administration Building, 101 S. Broad St., Brevard. 

All meetings of the Board of Commissioners are open to the public in accordance with the North Carolina Open Meetings Law. The meeting facilities are handicapped accessible and anyone requiring special assistance should notify the Clerk to the Board at (828) 884-1936 as soon as possible. The meetings can be viewed online at www.transylvanaicounty.org.
