The Transportation Advisory Board meets during the first month of each quarter (January, April, July, and October) on the fourth Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the large conference room on the second floor of the Social Services Building, 106 East Morgan Street, Brevard, NC. Recipients of NCDOT's Section 5311 Grant are required to establish a Transportation Advisory Board (TAB) comprised of stakeholders from the service area who are representatives of the various target audiences, including passengers and private providers, that acts in an advisory role to the management of transit services. Section 5311 Grant is a federal program administered by the North Carolina Department of Transportation's Integrated Mobility Division to provide funding for public transportation in rural areas of North Carolina. Section 5311 funds support capital, planning, and operating assistance for public transportation in rural areas with populations under 50,000.
