The recommended Fiscal Year 2019-20 Budget for Transylvania County was formally presented to the Board of Commissioners during a special meeting on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in Commissioners’ Chambers at the County Administration Building, 101 S. Broad St., Brevard, NC. The recommended budget will be available for public inspection in the office of the Clerk to the Board, County Administration Building, weekdays, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. A copy will also be placed at the Transylvania County Library and posted online. The Board of Commissioners will hold a budget workshop during their regular meeting on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 (Monday, May 27 is the Memorial Day holiday and County offices are closed) at 7:00 p.m. The budget workshop will be held in Commissioners’ Chambers at the County Administration Building. Additional budget workshops will be scheduled if necessary. The public hearing notice will be published separately.
All meetings of the Board of Commissioners are open to the public in accordance with North Carolina Open Meetings Law. The meeting facilities are handicap accessible and anyone requiring special assistance should notify the Clerk to the Board at (828) 884-3271 as soon as possible.
